Meeting Notes: It snowed for the first time this winter here in Atlanta, and therefore the entire city has lost its damned mind. There are reports of “black ice” on the roads, which prompts John and Brian to question why we tolerate ice racism. Brian’s power went out in the middle of the night, making his bedroom even colder than our conference room. The parking lot is covered in ice as well, which has claimed at least one person today (sadly, it’s Brian again). Ethan and Aileen’s mountain retreat has turned to a deluge of ice, snow, rain and mud. Craig simply zips up his Boba Fett hoodie and shivers next to Jess in her Princess Leia Endor Forest sweater while Aaron and Chad talk about trying not to wipe out everyone’s car while parking. We trade horror stories of driving in the ice and snow, but as I’m from Ohio, I find some of the claims of “snowpocalypse” to be suspicious. However, there is the French Toast Alert System.

We talk a bit about the upcoming forums and blogs (which hopefully will be live by the time you read this). This’ll be the last Monday Meeting post you’ll see directly on the [info]whitewolf_lj, but we’re not leaving you empty handed. ALL of our blogs will go via the magic of RSS syndication to this new community, [info]ww_blogs. We’ll try to keep an eye on comments there as much as we can.

We also talk about New Wave Requiem, which hit number one on DriveThruRPG.com within 24 hours of release and has stayed there since Thursday. This leads to a debate between parachute pants and Hammer pants. John wants to find a way to do Exalted in the 80s now to make the ultimate sales win.

Southerners are funny when there's weather. AAAHHH! RAAAIN! SNOOOW!

It snowed the first year Heather and I were in Atlanta. The city went crazy. We looked at people like, "What? Really? It's not even accumulating."

We had 1-2 inches of snow. The schools were closed.

Speaking of Scion, I see on the forums where people who preordered the dead-tree edition are already getting their copies. Does this mean we could possibly inveigle you into putting up the complete PDF?

Generally, we don't put the PDF out before game stores get them, so we don't undercut them.

I must confess ignorance regarding the operations of syndicated blogs. I just added the RSS to my Friend's List, so I think I'll still be able to read the posts that way, but will they still show up on this LJ?

Can you tell us anything about Wicked Dead?

BTW, there is no longer a direct link to the release schedule. Or rather, the link is still present on the main page, but it now resolves to store.white-wolf.com . The FAQ for the store says nothing about this, and when I tried to email store@white-wolf.com to tell them about it, the mail bounced. Thought you ought to know.

Kindle Downloads?

Here's a kind of out of the blue question.

Given the success of PDF downloadable books - via SAS and Alternative Publishing. Will White Wolf Consider putting their books on Amazon's Kindle device?

I love getting them on PDF due to my own space concerns, but if I can port them in an easy to use device like that; it would make my freaking day.

We are closely looking at eReaders for the future, but right now we don't have plans to offer our products in Kindle format.

Success of New Wave Requiem is something that brings joy to my heart, obviously. I hope it'll allow for some expansion of the idea.

A bit unrelated - is it possible to get a line or two about the status of EVE RPG? It's been a while since I recall hearing anything about it, and I do hope it's still going to happen.
