We talk about the Isle of Douchebag, as discovered by Erik the Red. The correct term for getting stabbed by Chad is a “chadectomy.” On the wall of our conference room is scribbled the following incantation: 8 x 5 x 4=16, under a picture of a satanic hoodie; I theorize that someone’s trying to summon demons in the conference room, but Russell points out that it would be more artistic if that were the case. Craig disappoints us by saying that there will be no mullet skill for New Wave Requiem. Brian, in a fit of anger (or clumsiness) knocks the webcam onto the floor, which then turns on ominously. Kelley brings up the Superman bloodline for Vampire again. Russell says that T-Rexes shouldn’t have boobs, but John disagrees. Russell counters with Vampire Vikings, Vol. V.

We talk about GenCon and what events we’ll be submitting this year, as well as interviews. There’s a little discussion about the upcoming features for the website, and some internal stuff about internal stuff.

Adjusting? That's a term I don't believe I've heard used in regards to upcoming releases before.

The art directors are making some modifications to the PDFs after seeing the printer proofs.

    Makes sense.

I was just worried that Immortals would mysteriously cease to be about karate. Because if that were the case, everything Mena's said about it would be rendered false, and she'd feel like a fool.
eddyfate From: eddyfate Date: February 9th, 2009 08:21 pm (UTC) (Link)
That would fall under "rewriting." Or maybe "we've lost our fucking minds."
    innocent_man From: innocent_man Date: February 9th, 2009 08:33 pm (UTC) (Link)
I agree. If Immortals is no longer about karate, you've lost your fucking minds.

    (That's what you meant, right?)
eddyfate From: eddyfate Date: February 9th, 2009 08:41 pm (UTC) (Link)
    Clearly!
From: machineiv Date: February 9th, 2009 09:14 pm (UTC) (Link)
Precisely. There's a distinct lack of karate sourcebooks, particularly ones with misleading titles.

I love you guys. If we were all Mormons, I would marry you all.

Immortals should not be about karate. It should be about bureaucracy and tax forms.
From: machineiv Date: February 12th, 2009 06:02 pm (UTC) (Link)
I would buy it. I was shocked there were no tax form artifacts in Lords Over the Damned.

To bad it's impossible to combine martial arts with bureaucratic paperwork :(

The FLOOR ominously turned on?! You have electrified floors? O_o

I'm all over a Kryptonian bloodline for Requiem. Their unique Discipline, rather than using blood, will use absorbed sunlight to power superstrength, invulnerability, flight, and jets of searing heat and chilling ice. All you have to do is stand in direct sunlight for at least eight hours, and then your amazing powers kick in! Brilliant!

The webcam knocked onto the floor, not the floor itself.

    Though that would be cool.

What's Danse Macabre about? Politics? Ball dancing?
eddyfate From: eddyfate Date: February 9th, 2009 09:05 pm (UTC) (Link)
    It's not about ball dancing.

    GenCon Events

Are you going to do Play with a Dev again this year? I really liked that you had that available last year (even if our game with Joe got canceled since the GenCon staff double booked our spot).

Part of me also wants to get greedy and request and Exalted panel.

    Re: GenCon Events

I didn't think I was allowed to approach fans with offers that they could "play with me" anymore.

    Don't ask, don't tell.

We talk about the Isle of Douchebag

Not to be confused with the Aisle of Douchebag, which you can find in every Ralph's on the west coast.

Also, I think I mentioned, once or twice, that I was excited for Alchemicals. I should mention that again.

Also also, you should definitely push through a "Compass" style book for Autochthon and its (His?) cities.
From: (Anonymous) Date: February 10th, 2009 04:00 pm (UTC) (Link)

    hls says

Yes. There should definitely be a Compass.

Alchemicals: the only Exalts who grow up to have their very own character sheet AND Mandate of Heaven sheet.

Actually, a long time ago before Vampire had rules, I suggested to a playtester that Vampire should have rules for emotions, for falling in love, for developing antipathy, for conflicting feelings. I think it was deemed too complex an issue to include game rules for. Now that White Wolf is more experienced (and now that certain RPG do have elementary gameplay approaches to emotions) perhaps White Wolf might develop game rules for emotion too, at least rules for developing relationships and feelings for others (not always positive feelings)?

Wraith: the Oblivion might give some good ideas on how this could be done...
