Russell brags that very few of his books require errata, but it is quickly pointed out that he's primarily worked on the clanbooks. Russell threatens to take a silver pen and draw penises all over one of the books as "penis errata." In the WW marketing conversation, John points out that our Dragon*Con party had 100% more Edward James Olmos than our GenCon party.

Attendance will be spotty this week, between the holiday, the Presidential inauguration and a variety of trips, plans and doctor's appointments. We briefly touch on 2009 WWP marketing. We also discuss some more efficient ways to track our projects.

Today's Reason to Drink: Today is Confederate Heroes Day in Texas, but in every other state it's Martin Luther King's birthday. Either way, it's worth a drink.

    Book of the Dead

    Something Geistig, perhaps?

(Mixing German with English produces weird results.)

Just to note, its MLK day here in Texas as well. Confederate Hero Day is Jan 19th (Robert E Lee's birthday); MLK day is the third Monday of the month. This year they coincide, it doesn't mean it's not MLK day.

Every time Alchemicals gets a mention I get a aroused, thus saving me the time of finding and killing an albino chinchilla. Keep up the good work!

100% more Edward James Olmos would be twice as much Edward James Olmos. Either your Dragon*Con party had 2 EJO's, or you somehow had multiple Olmosi at GenCon, and then later doubled that amount.

    Either options is, clearly, awesome.

What game lines and types are these books?

The Danse Macabre: is this a physical book or a PDF book?

Mirrors: same question, plus how does this relate to The Danse Macabre?

Book of the Dead: What game line and type of book is this?

Wrangling the last late chunks of Geist and working on all the rest.
This would seem more impressive to me if you genuinely looked likely to get any Hunter books, or Clan Books, published any time soon. I know it is bad form to complain about book delays, but I find it hard to generate enthusiasm about these and other new titles when you are not getting any physical books published.

Re: What game lines and types are these books?

We don't talk about books that are at the printer, coming back from the printer, going to shipping, or in transit at the Monday meeting. While I appreciate that updates of that nature might be welcome, it's just not a topic on Monday.

Re: What game lines and types are these books?

I just got my copies of Inferno and Slasher, does that count for anything?

    working on the Scion SAS

Cool beans. Is it going to be written with any specific pantheon in mind? Also, could we possibly get a book of divine NPCs, ideally one that includes stats for the Seven Lucky Gods?

No to both. After the Scion Companion and a couple of SASs, we're not planning to do any more Scion products, unfortunately.

In the words of Shingen Takeda after his army trampled itself to death trying to escape from Miaowara Tomokato, "Fudge." (Don't worry; I have no intention of committing seppuku, certainly not before those SASes drop.)

    Re: confederate heroes?

Not to stick up for the Confederate cause, but it's really hard to avoid a "Of course not, everyone knows the winner writes the history books" comment here.
